9:25 pm - Dollies...
Ok, so I haven't posted in ages again.

I just came across this site:

http://ncruz.com/repaintgallery.html

I'm not into dolls (but I do like odd things and particularly odd things relating to old movie stars) but some of these are amazing. I can't believe they aren't photoshopped a bit or something.

Shame I couldn't get the Lana Turner ones to come up, coz they were pretty impresisve as well.

Actually, it's a bit spooky. A bit Uncanny to be more precise. Time to call Ernst Jentsch.

Well, it's been ages since I've written in here. Probably because I don't have anything to say.

Since I last posted I've been to see Rammstein twice. Their music is strangely addictive, and their stageshow - while full of very masculine things like flamethrowers, falling sparks and jets of flame - is quite a spectacle. Watching big German men dressed in silly clothes pretending to stew each other with the use of a large cooking pot and a flamethrower is always going to be my idea of a good night out anyway.

Holy flaming teils, Batman!

Picture nicked from http://www.rammimages.com - the ones I attempted to take on my 'phone turned out to be less than wonderful.

Nothing like getting back from a gig and finding you have little bits of blue ticker tape in your bra is there?

You're a literary minded as the Bard himself!
You are a complete literary geek, from knowing the
classics (even the not-so-well-known classics
and tidbits about them) to knowing devices used
in writing, when someone has a question about
literature, they can bring it to you and rest
assured; you know the answers.

How much of a literary geek are you?

I should bloody hope so as well!

3:30 pm - Dr Floosie?
Found out yesterday that my PhD application has been accepted. Yay!

I feel that's an appropriate amount of enthusiasm.

However, I'm also celebrating today by wearing Moccasins (as opposed to Mochasins which would be far more chocolatey).

9:27 am - Take me out!
Went to see Franz Ferdinand on Friday - they weren't half bad actually. I went with a friend who wanted to see them, so it wasn't 'my' gig - and I only knew their more well known songs - but even so I quite enjoyed it.

Funny then, given my strange appreciation of things German and Scandinavian, that I found out afterwards that the band member that I singled out as being rather attractive is German (http://www.dagmarsieglinde.com/nickidol.html). Apparently. See that his name is McCarthy. Doesn't sound very German to me.

The guitarist groupie in me seems to be back.

My results from http://colorquiz.com are shown below. Slightly scary, although I'm trying to work out how generally it could be applied, and I think a lot of it could be applied to most people (e.g. most people like to think they are individual and want to stand out from the crowd don't they? That's the thing, even if they *are* a sheep, they don't want to think they are. It always pays to flatter people...)

The other people I sent it too had lots of similar bits in theirs, but then as I'm at work maybe it's just that the people I work with are all similar! (Not true I don't think though...and certainly not the case for me, as anyone who knows me will understand :) ).

4:27 pm - Station Mort
Saw an advert recently for a new season of shows on (I think) BBC3 titled something along the lines of 'Cancer and Me'. I don't particularly want to upset anyone (it's beyond me why what I am about to say would upset anyone anyway) but I'm not known for being unopinionated so I will say it anyway...

It's pointless to write this here, as no one reads this thing, but I have just set up a community about my favourite actress, Ava Gardner.

It's at http://www.livejournal.com/communities/avagardner if anyone does come here, and is interested.

Well, what have I learned today?

As my friend put it: "Never offer to do anything for anyone unless they're an attractive Swedish bloke."

There is so much truth to this statement I think I may get it tattooed on a prominent part of my body.

Foiled every step of the way.

Ahhh, so, a continuation of the most boring journal on here...having a pale day today. I'm not wearing blusher.
